Torrie Wilson, Katy Perry have ‘opposite days’ before New Years Eve

On Friday, singer Katy Perry and former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson are putting the Google search engines into overdrive with their respective romance romps.

Wilson, according to published reports in the Huffington Post today, is now romantically linked to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. But where one couple comes together, another romance falls apart.

On Thursday, comedian Russell Brand filed for divorce from rocker Katy Perry in what amounts to one of the most shocking and unexpected relationship developments of 2011.

Mega Millions jackpot hits $206 million

PHOENIX — The holiday season is a time for dreaming and today, $1 spent on a Mega Millions lottery ticket could make all of those dreams come true. The jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing is an estimated $206 million. The cash option for that prize is just under $152 million.

This is the first time the jackpot has gone above $200 in the past six months. Back in March, the jackpot climbed all the way to $319 million. Seven co-workers in Albany, NY took home that money.

There have been 12 jackpot winners in 2011, none of them from Arizona.

According to the Arizona Lottery, the 10 most-drawn white balls in the Mega Millions game are 19, 20, 10, 12, 45, 48, two, four, 11 and 31. The most drawn gold ball is nine. The five least-drawn white balls are seven, 25, eight, 41 and 42. The least-drawn gold ball is two.

Saints’ Drew Brees Breaks NFL Passing Record

Last night on Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees broke Dan Marino‘s NFL passing record of 5,084 yards in a single season — a record which had stood for twenty-seven years.  After a nine-yard touchdown pass to Darren Sproles in the fourth quarter, Brees hit 5,087 yards on the season.

Brees and Sproles were teammates with the Chargers during the 2005 season, and Sproles was part of a three-headed backfield that included LaDainian Tomlinson, Sproles and Michael Turner.  All three backs have since found homes in new cities.

Contributing to the Jets, Saints and Falcons respectively, Tomlinson, Sproles and Turner have rushed for a combined for 1,955 yards and 12 touchdowns this season — totaling 3,230 yards from scrimmage and scoring 20 total touchdowns.

Police: 9 arrested after Mall of America fights

(CNN) — Authorities arrested at least nine people after a “series of fights” at the nation’s biggest shopping mall sent chairs flying and caused after-Christmas shoppers to flee, officials in Minnesota said Tuesday.

Police and security officers at the Mall of America arrested a mix of young adults and juveniles after a food-court fight around 4 p.m. Monday broke up into brawls elsewhere in the shopping center, Bloomington Police Department Commander Mark Stehlik said. At one point, police received reports of up to 10 separate fights, he said.

Video of one incident showed a man picking up a chair to throw as crowds of shoppers, some screaming, fled a mall food court. The video also showed a group of what appeared to be youths brawling before police officers intervened.

Snooki Slapped With $7 Million Lawsuit

Looks like Snooki has bigger problems than being a drunken buffoon.

The MTV personality has been hit with a $7 million counterclaim in her legal battle with a licensing company, SRG Ventures, with whom she partnered to launch an array of Snooki-related merchandise last year, but filed suit against in October.

Snook says they didn’t fulfill obligations. SRG says otherwise.
